My childhood friend Shreya recently let me drag her around downtown Kingston for a portrait shoot. It was actually a great way for us to catch up - we chatted the entire time we were shooting. The only thing missing was beer, I think.

Almost two years ago, I photographed the wedding of my two friends, Melody and Chris. This morning, I just returned from a visit with them and I took a tonne of photos of their incredibly outgoing and talkative kid, Holly. Also, stylish. Check out that faux fur vest and checked pant combo.
In an effort to continue shooting in quieter times, I've been organizing shoots with friends. Here's one with my friend Alex at Lake Ontario Park. #goldenhour #beautifullady!
My friend and very talented photographer, Cat London and I, recently photographed local Kingston band, The Huaraches. Badass band. Super cool location. Dynamic shooting partner. Fun times. Check out The Huaraches Facebook page for showtimes and some of Cat's great work!
I was recently asked to try my hand at boudoir photography. I really enjoyed it and liked being pushed out of my comfort zone. My client Sarah has very nicely given me permission to put a select few up here on the site. Thanks, Sarah! My friend Caitlin asked me to take some pictures of her daughter Olivia last month. Here she is, all decked out in Christmas plaid!
This month I drove north to a beautiful cottage on a lake to photograph Laura and Danny. I'll be photographing their wedding next summer and they decided that they'd like some engagement shots as well. It was absolutely freezing, but they were great sports and naturals in front of the lens! Thanks for a lovely day!
I played softball this summer and fall and it was a first for me. I'm not a "team sport" kind of person and my athletic abilities definitely leave something to be desired. BUT the people on my team were amazing and we had a great time. I'm really happy I've connected with them all. At one game, I took a few B&W frames on my Yashica D, which is a type of medium format film camera. Here's a small selection. I'd love to shoot more film, so hopefully this post will galvanize me into action! Lots of Steve for some reason - maybe he was just really photogenic that day! I'll try to get a picture of the whole team up soon.
Good friends of mine, Jared, Tricia and Penelope suggested we head to Wolfe Island for their family portraits. It was a beautiful setting and we had a great time.
I recently shot my first headshots for a local actress. Alex Montagnese is currently performing in a children's play, Bird Brain, a travelling production out of the 1000 Islands Playhouse. Below you'll find two of the finalists and one I took in between shot locations. Shooting headshots was good fun! If you're an actor in need of headshots, call me up. Note: Please be as awesome to hang out with as Alex! |
