My recent post from the woods reminded me that I'd gone back country camping in September with my friend. I got up close and personal with a couple of mushrooms and some ferns. I've also included a shot of Rebecca and me. #Iwokeuplikethis

I played softball this summer and fall and it was a first for me. I'm not a "team sport" kind of person and my athletic abilities definitely leave something to be desired. BUT the people on my team were amazing and we had a great time. I'm really happy I've connected with them all. At one game, I took a few B&W frames on my Yashica D, which is a type of medium format film camera. Here's a small selection. I'd love to shoot more film, so hopefully this post will galvanize me into action! Lots of Steve for some reason - maybe he was just really photogenic that day! I'll try to get a picture of the whole team up soon.
I just recently started reading Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods," which is about walking the entirety of the Appalachian Trail in the states. I didn't finish it because I... well, I don't have a good excuse. I kept falling asleep when reading it at night and I had to return it. But I really liked it! And I've enjoyed one of his other books, "A Short History of Nearly Everything." That's not really relevant. I just wanted you to look at these pictures of my recent walk in the woods with my sister and her family.
