I can't even describe how AMAZING your photos are!! I love every single shot you took. You really captured the day, which is exactly what I wanted
My name is Liz and I've been a dedicated image maker since the age of 16 when I bought my first camera (a Pentax K1000, which I loved! And then subsequently lost in a missing suitcase on the way to Korea. I'm still mourning the loss.). I then went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photographic Studies from Ryerson University's prestigious School of Image Arts. I just recently defended my masters thesis at Queen's University School of Environmental Studies in the subject of wildlife photography.
Documentary photography has been a huge influence on me. It's definitely informed my work throughout school as I developed my own style and sensibilities. This way of seeing the world has helped me make the shift to weddings, events, and candid portraiture. Working with a wide variety of people, at diverse events and family gatherings has been a great experience, one that I hope to continue for many years to come.
I was recently interviewed by Rachael Hunter-Brown on CFRC's Depth of Field. It was great chatting with her about photography, my time at Ryerson, and what makes a good portrait. Listen below!
