My friend and very talented photographer, Cat London and I, recently photographed local Kingston band, The Huaraches. Badass band. Super cool location. Dynamic shooting partner. Fun times. Check out The Huaraches Facebook page for showtimes and some of Cat's great work!

For the last few years, I've attended the Fat Goose Craft Fair, held at the end of each November. This year, at their new home at Grant Hall, the Fat Goose Collective once again showcased the best of local crafts, jewelry, art, and clothing. Generally I'm there as a customer, but this year, I was asked to take some pictures (of course I bought stuff, too!). The craft show might be over, but you can check out all the vendors here.
Joan Sharpe, aka Purlin' J, has recently unveiled her new mobile retail truck, Lil' Dorothy. Together, the two make up Purlin' J's Roving Yarn Company, which attended its first event last weekend, the Wolfe Island Music Festival. A few weeks ago, Joan hired me to take some shots of her and Lil' Dorothy, a few of which you can see below.
Purlin' J has been hard at work promoting her new business, with articles (and pictures by yours truly) in the Kingston Whig Standard and the Ottawa Citizen! Congratulations to Purlin'J and her amazing yarn company! |
