A few years ago while working at the Rocking Horse in downtown Kingston, I made friends with a girl named Jasmine. Eventually I made friends with her sisters and got to know her whole family. They recently asked me to take some family pictures. I asked to hang out for coffee first to take some candids and those are some of my favourites. Big thanks to a smart, kind, and super hilarious family!

Friends, and soon to be the latest addition to a new project with Viara Mileva, Caitlin and Dave let me herd them around our amazing neighbourhood at sunset a few nights ago. I really enjoy photographing couples. Not an engagement or a wedding thing, though those are great, just people in love hanging out. While I take pictures of them... haha! I'm shooting film and digital these days, and liking the mix of looks and feels. Both are represented below. As for my joint project with Viara, stay tuned, it will be launched soon - we're hard at work!
Henry's got a teenager's thousand-yard stare already. Good practice for ten years from now. Also, my sister!
Last weekend, a good friend of mine took me to Ithaca, NY. It's a small university town with serious liberal, artsy, left-wing leanings. And gorges! It's the first time I've been anywhere in ages, as school has been bananas.
I started a Master of Environmental Studies program this month at Queen's University. It's exciting and scary, but so far I'm liking it. This is all to say that I've been shooting, but not doing much to get any work out there. Here's a collection from the last few weeks. Random to say the least.
I'm into atmospheric interiors right now. It's something I'd like to develop and I'm doing some experiments with the hopes of expanding it into a larger project with more scope.
Thanks to Laura and Danny for having me there on your wedding day! It was a lovely day, with a great group of friendly and relaxed people. Can't ask for much more than that!
I've been feeling a lot more experimental lately. I've been obsessed with different patches and pockets of light, hence the moody, dreamy curtains. Also, I bought a miniature rose at the grocery store.
My friend Heidi asked for some web presence head shots. That's what I'm calling them now, since a lot of people are getting head shots for Linkedin, professional websites, and business profiles. It's also just nice to have some pictures of oneself, right? So, here they are: Heidi is very glamourous...but also a goofball. :)
I went for a walk at Parrot Bay Conservation Area this past weekend. It was a bright and sunny day, but only little patches of sunlight came through the trees. I'm not really a nature photographer, but I do love nature and natural things and I loved the natural spotlight the sunlight and leaves made.
